Trainees form your defense, specific Umas can be scouted, and Umas have unique skills. Use current in-game descriptions to compare candidates; a verified current roster and numerical unit rankings are not available here.
What the developer confirms
The current game description asks players to gather trainees to defend Tracen, scout specific Umas, and use their unique skills. It also describes items that boost scout stats and retired Umas that inspire scouts. Those are confirmed system descriptions. Individual names, rarity labels, skill values, and acquisition prices need their own current evidence.
Make a useful trainee record
When inspecting a trainee in the current game, record its exact name, displayed acquisition requirements, damage, attack interval, and skill wording where those fields are available. Keep the unit's current upgrade or item state alongside those values. Two screenshots with different upgrades may describe the same trainee under different conditions and should not be treated as a fair comparison.
Match the skill to a task
Read whether an effect depends on a trigger, target type, duration, or other condition. If the wording mentions a restriction, preserve it in your comparison. A basic DPS value is useful for steady attacks under matching assumptions; it does not automatically include area coverage, timed effects, or support value. Copy the squad planner lineup into your own notes and add the relevant skill conditions beside each trainee.
