Reviewed · Independent fan guide
Compare two setups before you spend. Enter the damage per hit, seconds between attacks and total cost shown in your game. These are basic single-target estimates, not a prediction of a full wave.
Enter both setups to compare damage per second and cost efficiency.
DPS = damage ÷ attack interval. Efficiency = DPS ÷ total cost × 1,000. This steady-damage comparison excludes range, resistance, overkill, area damage and skills unless already included in your numbers.
Read the result correctly
Sustained DPS is damage divided by attack interval. DPS per 1,000 cost compares efficiency at the prices you enter. This model does not include travel time, targeting, area attacks, skill bursts, enemy resistance or support effects.
Make a fair comparison
Use the same trainee level, map and active buffs when checking an item or upgrade. For multi-hit attacks, enter the total damage for one complete attack and the time between complete attacks. Record a before-and-after pair rather than mixing values from different runs.
Choose for the wave you are losing
A higher sustained number is useful when one enemy keeps surviving. It does not automatically solve enemies slipping past the edge of a range circle. Use your observations alongside the result, then change one part of the squad and retry.
QUICK ANSWERS
Before your next run
Is the example a real trainee?
No. Example values only demonstrate the arithmetic. Replace all inputs with the values from your current game.
Does this include skills and buffs?
Only if their effect is already reflected in the damage and interval you enter. Otherwise the model excludes them.
Why must the attack interval be above zero?
Dividing by zero cannot produce a meaningful damage rate. Enter the seconds between attacks, not attacks per second.
Does the highest DPS always win?
No. Coverage, targeting, timing, cost and team support can matter more than a single-target average.
